We can all relate to what it’s like to be in a car and do something stupid, but as a result, people are reluctant to punish [distracted drivers]. They think, ‘If someone’s dead, what good is it going to do?’ It used to be that way with drunk drivers, too. We need to put more responsibility on what it means to drive an automobile. It’s criminal to not be in control of your car, and there should be consequences for it.”
