The Hollywood trend of turning children’s books into movies has gone too far. It is better to leave some things to the imagination, especially when a Disney-fied fantasy world is not the main object of the story. We can only hope that the trailers are misrepresentative.

First it was the image ads. Then an observant reader noticed this text ad. Unless Google can come up with a way to allow more user control over ad content, I am done with AdSense for good.

One of the nicest additions in the latest release of WordPress is the ability to set a static home page. I recently struggled with several plugins that purport to do this “easily” and am glad to see the feature become part of the core code.
