In the spirit of my post, “Not by the Power of Man,” a friend recommended that I search YouTube for “kids sing obama” — be prepared to wonder: should I cry, be terrified, be angry, hunker down in the comfort and rest of God’s good grip, laugh … other?
Interestingly, it took me several minutes of searching in order to find just the clip, because there were so many satirical submissions; video collages mixing the Obama children’s chorus with historical footage of the Hitler Youth, Mao’s “Good Little Children” and even recent footage coming out of Pyongyang, North Korean. While those are fairly easy comparisons for most people to make, the whole thing seems eerily reminiscent of the many children’s productions I have seen at church — especially if you pay close attention to the words.

Well done musically, but the first thing I thought was “Chairman Mao” only the words have been changed to “Obama”.. we are doomed. Smells like mind control to me.

Why does every body fear these aristicratic cowards who have to resort to having 5 year olds sing their names just so they can feel more powerful .

I find it difficult to condemn the ideas and words of a child as evil. Coached or not, prompted or not, these words, these expressions came, ultimately, from her heart. It may well be that Obama and those around him intend to do evil. Let’s wait and see. In the meantime, let’s try to keep an open mind. Let’s do all we can to contribute positively. Go to Obama’s website, Change.gov, and write your ideas on where his administration should attempt to take the country. Many thousands of people are doing so. I have done so. It may be that their solicitation of the people’s views are only a ploy to garner public support for Obama’s programs. Even so, I challenge you to contribute your constructive thoughts.
I am absolutely convinced of one thing: this is God’s world, and God’s Universe. The evil people of this world cannot help, in the end, but to accomplish God’s will, and they know it! It is a GOOD thing that the world is uniting under one government. It is a GOOD thing that, because of that, war in the world may finally come to an end. It is a GOOD thing that we Americans are finally going to have to change our lifestyle to be more like the lifestyle and standard of living of the rest of the world. Our profligate consumerism and materialism is finally coming to an end. These are all good things. Of course, world tyranny is NOT a good thing! However, those who are attempting to bring this about appear to be having trouble doing so. It is apparently not turning out quite as they planned. Man proposes, but God disposes. We must have faith and not cease in well-doing. We are engaged in a spiritual, not a physical, battle. It has ALWAYS been a spiritual battle, and will continue to be so until the hour our Lord returns. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers; against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places.”
There’s something scary about this, that’s for sure. Is ‘change’ going to be a cashless society and a chip in the arm?
This reminds me when I was child,we had here in Romania the dictator Ceausescu, and they made us sing in school about him and the comunist party, and everyday they sung on radio and TV such songs.
Back in Germany during the Dictatorship of Adolf Hitler’s when the young and the old were under a spell.
Now it has reached America and it is frightening…God help us all!
so, what would McCain followers be singing? “let’s go to war!! let’s have more debt!! let’s have more of the same that got us here!! Yes!!! Let’s have more of the same….” Is there somethign wrong with having a little hope? what are the options?
This speaks of the deep despair engendered by our recent past.
People have lost their minds.
The children will pay the price.
