Five Day Sweep

Between typical and atypical events, I totally blanked on the fact that game four of the World Series was last night. I am glad the Red Sox won, but sweeps are just not conducive to chaotic family life. Next time let’s at least take it to six games.

  1. There’s pretty much been a sweep the past 4 world series. I believe if Rodgers wasn’t using pine tar last year that the Cardinals would’ve won that game.

  2. Yeah, it’s a trend. Combine that with the fact that you’ve had several small-market teams in the World Series and I bet that Fox is really feeling the earnings pinch. I wonder if they’re still providing ratings guarantees? If so, they they’ll be giving away make-good spots between now and the start of the next season.

  3. I checked and did you know that over the last five years there have been 23 World Series games out of a minimum possible of 20 (max of 35)!?!
