If I still used subtitles on this blog it would read, “But Zero Percent Modern Liberal.” I found this quiz over at Jolly Blogger, where David Wayne scored as an Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. While some questions were slam dunks, I am sure that David could join me in saying, “Yeah, but…” to many of the statements. At least whoever created the quiz gives you a scale of 1-5 to help compensate. All in all the quiz is more “fun” than it is informative.
For example, I would disagree with the assessment of what it means to be a “reformed evangelical.” I do hold to the five points of Calvinism (vs. probably) and there is no skepticism on my part, as I think that Scripture is clear on those issues. As for the most important role of the Church, the following sums it up much better than “making sure people hear” about the Gospel.
I believe that the role of God’s Church is…
…to exemplify his restoring grace in Jesus Christ, the presence of his future restoration, through the demonstrative proclamation of the life-giving gospel of Christ through worship, fellowship, and service; becoming instruments of his restoring grace in Jesus Christ by which individuals, marriages, families and communities are restored to life, joy, peace and hope in every facet of their being, to the praise of God’s glory. #
And now for the quiz results…
You scored as Reformed Evangelical.
You are a Reformed Evangelical. You take the Bible very seriously because it is God’s Word. You most likely hold to TULIP and are skeptical about the possibilities of universal atonement or resistible grace. The most important thing the Church can do is make sure people hear how they can go to heaven when they die.

Congrats for the 0% modern liberal! That’s no camp to be in, trust me! BTW: Great redesign. I’m a regular lurker, but decided to leave a note this time. Keep up the great work.
Hmmm… Neo-orthodox came in first place for me, followed by Emergent/Postmodern, with Reformed Evangelical coming in third. Zero percent Modern Liberal though. You are correct that several questions on the quiz could have been worded better.
Nice! It’s ironic that one can be “reformed” and “roman catholic” at the same time.
I suspect that my dragon tendencies have something to do with my higher “modern liberal” score.
@Shawn: Thanks! I also confess that I’m a lurker at your blog, too.
@Steven: I’ll have to bring your score up at the next Session meeting…j/k
@Chris: Hehehehe…some do say that the reformational pendulum swung a little too far.
@Willa: Probably…that and your ability to write Greek. BTW, I am expecting your blog post about the dinosaurs any day now.
I don’t know if the world at large is quite ready for my genius theories. But one day I’ll get bored enough. . .
thanks for the interesting read.
found you on 9rules and subscribed to your feed.
looking forward to interaction.
