The Dance that Launched a Thousand Hits

Posted: 12.15.2006 in Social,Technical

Shortly after I was accepted into 9rules I decided to implement a new tracking system called Mint. Two days later I noticed a referrer from Ping Six. Linking to my comment, Tyme warned bloggers not to get caught up in statistics. Her point is well taken. A two sentence Aside about how Rob elfed me, posted the same day Mint went live, is at the top of the charts with 1,375 hits! Putting it into perspective, the home page is second at 533 hits.

Whoever wants more elf dancing and less quality writing speak up! ;)

  1. It is funny how things like elfing, memes, and online quizes get people to visit. It is a bit lit audience participation. I know that after I saw your elf I went and made my own. Several people have linked back to me after posting their own online quizes, helping my page loads the next day. And while all of that is fun, I do like the other topics you cover as well.

  7. Let’s just say that there are some things that should never be put on the internet . . . and leave it at that! :x
