The MySQL server that powers my WordPress sites has been down for a day and a half. It just came up in the last half hour. I had placed a trouble ticket yesterday morning and never got a response. There is also no phone number to call for support. Even if there were too many people affected to respond to individual tickets, they should have at least sent a broadcast email or posted something on their support page. $7.95 month to month is not worth the lack of service and support. I am moving in the next few days to another service — one like Lunarpages, Media Temple, A Small Orange or Dream Host.
I really needed to hear this today. Little seems to be turning out as planned or expected as of late.

Apparently, Chromaticus expired on 07/19/06. I guess I was too busy to notice. It’s not like I have been keeping up with it anyway. Still, I was shocked to see this goofy search page instead of my photoblog. The good news is that I renewed it.
Yesterday’s Stage 16 of the Tour de France was a disaster for American hopeful Floyd Landis, who I had the opportunity to watch in this year’s Tour de Georgia (which ran right near our house). Seemingly down and out after cracking magnificently on the final climb up the La Toussuire, today’s final alpine stage will go down in Tour history as one of the most exciting and amazing individual performances ever. This Saturday’s 57km individual time trial will not be one to miss, as it will more than likely determine this year’s race winner. Go Floyd!
After thinking that a custom 1911 is out of reach, then comes along the PT1911 by Taurus. Not only is is reportedly accurate and pimped out, but at $600 it is well within reach. About the only weakness I have heard thus far is that the trigger pull is heavy. If that is the only customizing necessary for a dream .45 ACP rig, then I want one.
