Diversions: Post Secret

Posted: 09.29.2005 in Uncategorized

I added a new category to the Links page. The honor of first link under the ‘Diversions’ category is Post Secret. If you are ever in doubt about the weighing effects of sin on people’s lives, then peruse the postcards. Some secrets are funny and cute; many secrets are painful and burdensome.

  1. What a perfect description for this site… It never occured to me to put it that way. All too often on that site you see the effects of sin for both the sinner and the person being trespassed upon.

Imagine how powerful a site like this could be if people would submit something like this knowing that people on the other end (or the readers) were praying for them once their postcard was shown? Obviously you would lose the funny posts and some of the irreverant (sp?) ones. But for people who are afraid to confess to a pastor, minister, priest, etc, they could receive the power of prayer and the cathartic nature of the submission.

  2. That is a great idea. Too often in my sinful state I think that prayer is impractical, but it is just how God wants us to react. I suppose someone could set up a prayer blog that links to the photos on PostSecret?
