People forget that the U.S (and the world) has had 3 1/2 years to get use to the way Bush talks. He is just a really bad public speaker. I watched some of his door-to-door campaigning from his attempted legislature run in Texas, and he was amazing. This is most likely why so many people that meet him, even foes, like him personally. He is a smart guy, but no Lincoln on the stump. For the debate scoring, not many people watch it as close as you (or I) most likely did. Bush was consistent and on message. Did Kerry clarify how he would do things differently? No. It will be spun as a Kerry win, but the numbers aren\'t going to move much. Bush is back up 6-9 pts the middle of next week. Kerry had to walk on water or Bush had to drown. Neither did. Great new blog. I like the look. On the debate, Kerry is the better speaker and that was obvious. Not enough people will be swayed either way by the debate. It will be interesting though to see how the media spins it for Kerry, because we know they want him to win.
